Driers

Zirconium octoate is a metallic drier used in coatings and paints. It is an organometallic compound where zirconium is combined with 2-ethylhexanoic acid (often called octoic acid).

Uses:

• Paints & Coatings: Acts as a drier by accelerating oxidation and polymerization of alkyd-based coatings.
• Inks & Varnishes: Enhances drying efficiency in printing inks and wood finishes.
