CMC Detergent Grade 25kg
Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a water-soluble polymer that is derived from cellulose, which is a naturally occurring polymer found in plant cell walls. CMC is produced by chemically modifying cellulose through the addition of carboxymethyl groups, which gives it its unique properties such as high water solubility, thickening ability, and film-forming properties.
CMC is widely used in a variety of industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and textiles, as a thickener, binder, stabilizer, emulsifier, and dispersant. It is commonly found in food products such as ice cream, salad dressings, and baked goods as a thickener and emulsifier, as well as in cosmetics and personal care products such as toothpaste and shampoo as a binder and stabilizer.
Detergents Grade CMC. TechnicalĀ SpecificationĀ for SodiumĀ CMC – Detergent Grade: Applications: SCMC is used in detergents as an anti soil redeposition agent, particle suspender, skin protector, color retention agent, stabilizer, homogeniser, texture protector.
Critical micelle concentration (CMC) is defined as the concentration ofĀ detergentsĀ above which micelles are spontaneously formed. TheĀ CMCĀ is important in biology because at concentrations above it theĀ detergents form complexes with lipophilic proteins. The exact molecular weight influences the CMC.
CMCĀ isĀ used asĀ a lubricant in artificial tears.Ā CMCĀ is alsoĀ used as a thickening agent, for instance, in the oil-drilling industry as an ingredient of drilling mud, where it acts as a viscosity modifier and water retention agent.
Detergent Grade CMC can be used in liquid, paste detergent, acts as stabilizing agent and thickening agent.CMC can effectively prevent washes from becoming contaminated after being washed by synthetic detergent when it used in detergent powder.
CMCĀ is used extensively in gluten free and reduced fat food products. In laundry detergents, it is used as aĀ soilĀ suspension polymer designed to deposit onto cotton and other cellulosic fabrics, creatingĀ aĀ negatively charged barrier to soils in the wash solution. CMC is used as a lubricant inĀ artificialĀ tears.
Proper ways of storage include:
- Store in a cool, dry, clean, ventilated environment.
- Since production date, a preservation period should not exceed 3 years for the industrial product.
- The products should be prevented from water and package bag damaging during transportation.
