Calcium Granular Extra Pure consists of high-purity metallic calcium in granulated form, primarily used in laboratory environments for chemical synthesis, metallothermic reduction reactions, and moisture-sensitive experiments. It serves as a strong reducing agent, especially in the preparation of metals from their oxides and halides. Due to its high reactivity with water and oxygen, it is also used in experiments involving hydrogen generation and exothermic metal-acid reactions.
