Sikaflex® 1c SL Limestone 10oz
Sikaflex® 1c SL is a single-component, self-leveling polyurethane sealant designed for horizontal joints in concrete and other construction materials. The “Limestone” refers to its color, and the 10oz packaging is typically in cartridge form for convenient use. It cures with atmospheric moisture to form a flexible and durable seal. This sealant offers excellent adhesion, weather resistance, and movement capability, making it ideal for both commercial and industrial applications where horizontal sealing is required.
Uses
Primary Uses
Construction & Building Maintenance
- Sealing of horizontal expansion joints in concrete slabs, driveways, sidewalks, and parking decks.
- Joint filling in garages, balconies, plazas, terraces, and around swimming pools.
- Used in precast concrete panel joints, floors, and foundations to prevent water infiltration.
Infrastructure & Civil Works
- Applied in highway and airport pavement joints to accommodate movement and reduce moisture penetration.
- Used in joints of tunnels, overpasses, and bridge decks for flexible sealing.
Industrial & Commercial Facilities
- Sealing expansion and control joints in warehouses, factories, and cold storage floors.
- Used in clean rooms, laboratories, and chemical handling areas due to its resistance to chemicals and cleaning agents.
Secondary Uses
Residential Construction
- Used in horizontal concrete around patios, walkways, and entrance areas.
Retail & Public Spaces
- Applied in shopping centers, schools, and commercial building outdoor surfaces where aesthetics (limestone color) and performance are important.
Green Building Projects
- Can be used in LEED-certified buildings due to low VOC content and long-lasting sealing properties.
