Alkaline reduction leuco for yellow-brown; Acid reduction leuco for dark olive. Mainly used for cotton, hemp, silk and viscose dyeing and printing, cotton yarn dyeing common varieties. Used for polyester/cotton blended fabric two-bath dyeing of polyester with a little colour.

Preparation of Sudan III Solution:

- Working Solution: For staining, the stock solution can be diluted with ethanol or isopropanol to the desired concentration. A common working concentration is 0.5% Sudan III in ethanol or isopropanol.
